Twoje dziecko jest artystą?

Zaktualizowano: 17 maj 2019

If you're a parent of an artist, there's a chance you may not even know about it.

Look closely at your child.

Do they seem "too emotional" sometimes? Unstable?

Or perhaps it's contrary. They seem cold and silent, like if nothing mattered to them?

Dear parent, after all, artists are still humans, regardless what you may have heard ;)

And like all humans, we are different from each other.

No two mechanics will be expected to have the exact same character.

Why should artists be then?

However, what we have in common is creativity and boundless imagination.

We are extremely sensitive and we feel everything deeper, and probably differently than others.

Sometimes we just cannot express it, for those feelings, even positive ones, are too overwhelming.

Our heads are full of images, emotions, questions, ideas...

We're aware of the fact that we're odd.

Some accept it easily, some don't.

Yet we all know we may not be understood.

So, there are times we keep quiet.

Or we scream.

Or run.

Paint.

Dance.

Sing.

Play.

Close our rooms, houses, eyes.

Close the door to reality...

Dear parents, you do not have to understand.

You really don't.

But try, make an effort.

Support.

Appreciate.

Do not get mad for colored walls,

for dirty brushes in the sink,

for tapping the table,

for cut, re-worked clothes,

for broken strings.

Never punish for dreams...

You must have had them too, remember?

Be the person you always needed.

Be the person you've never met....

Watch your child.

Discover them.

Maybe their inner artist needs to be awakened?

Please, buy you kids crayons and teach how to use them.

Buy them paint, scissors, instruments, microphones.

Listen to music with them.

Dance.

Sing.

Read.

Take them to a theater.

Take them on trips, even around your neighborhood.

Watch and observe what they're passionate about.

Notice how they're amazed by littlest things!

Try to capture all those details that make their eyes sparkle.

Who knows, maybe if you watch closely, you will see the magic they're carrying inside?

Dear parent, simply believe in your child and never stop.

Help them grow and encourage to reach the highest goals.

Being an artist is sometimes both a blessing and a curse.

Be with your child during each.

Help them understand their uniqueness.

Never let them doubt their worth and talent.

Dear parent, notice your little artist before it's too late.

Let them share this magical jurney with you.

Be the wind that blows in their wings.

Best regards,
